The Multi-purpose DeviceNet Wireless System provides Low-cost Production Monitoring and a Window to the Factory Floor.

• In contrast with a regular wireless system that can be used for only one purpose, such as collecting production information, the DeviceNet Wireless System can be used for multiple purposes from collecting production information to monitoring power usage and temperatures for quality control. Since message communications can be transferred wirelessly, other tasks can be performed remotely, such as transmitting data from a bar code reader or making remote settings with the Configurator.
  
  
• When the DeviceNet Wireless System is combined with an Open Network Controller (ONC), a production monitoring system that will not be affected by layout changes can be set up quickly and inexpensively. The devices and equipment with wireless connections can be remotely monitored and set through the web.



• The Open Network Controller can be applied to systems like Andon systems, so that a system can be configured without affecting the existing control system. The system can be modified or expanded when changes (such as production model changes) are required and a flexible indicator system can be configured.
