The customer is the manufacturer of batching system for tyre manufacturing companies and pharma companies. They wanted a PLC control system to communicate with the third party device on MODBUS communication protocol. The customer requirement was to log the weighing parameters from the remote third party controller to the PLC and the same to be displayed on the OPERATOR PANEL. The system was proved using the CJ series with serial communication unit and got the order against B&R PLC. The up coming project will be on PROFIBUS.
